Mark your calendars for two engaging talks celebrating the Lunar New Year exhibitions on Saturday, 25 January!
At 2pm, ANTIVENOM: VERMIN features artist Lia Tabrah in conversation with Dr Lisa Lake, discussing Lia’s work repurposing the cane toad into sustainable materials and Indigenous-led environmental efforts in the Torres Strait.
At 3pm, hear from trans Filipino artist Emil Cañita, featured in Antivenom: Year of the Snake. Emil will share insights into their practice, which uses gloryholes and s*x work as creative mediums to explore themes of intimacy, identity and transformation.
