Tom Dion

Tom Dion (b. Australia, 1957) is a visual artist and photographer. Thomas Dion is a third generation Australian/Chinese born in January, 1957 in Sydney. He studied at Flinders University in South Australia, Goulburn Teacher's College and the Wollongong Institute of Technology. He has been an exhibiting artist and freelance photographer for the past seven years. His photo documentary style of photography focuses on sub-cultures, ethnicity and aboriginality and his work has been exhibited locally, nationally and internationally. He is represented in the collections of the Wollongong City Gallery, Wollongong City Council, Kawasaki City Council, the State Library of New South Wales, the University of Wollongong, the Aboriginal Medical Centre, the Historic Houses Trust of NSW and various private collections.
