Luise Guest is an art educator, independent writer and researcher based in Sydney. Since 2010 her writing about Chinese art has been published in print and online journals including The Journal of Chinese Contemporary Art, Art Monthly Australasia, Artist Profile, Randian, Yishu Journal, CoBO Social, Nü Voices and The Art Life. Her first book, Half the Sky: Conversations with Women Artists in China, was published in 2016 by Piper Press. Luise is currently a PhD candidate at UNSWAD, where her research examines intersections of gender and national identity in the work of contemporary women artists in/from China.
