Join artist and designer Evi O and 4A Curatorial Program Manager Con Gerakaris for an in conversation exploring public art and the Chinatown precinct. The pair will discuss food tourism and Evi's points of inspiration for her paintings, specifically how she has transformed them into public artwork.
Drawing upon Australian fauna, the conversation will traverse Evi’s stylised depictions of animals and the natural environment. She will discuss Chinatown locality and how she envisions enlivening Sydney’s inner cityscape through her light rail wrap design. Through this work and floor talk, Evi encourages us to ruminate on Australia’s unique biodiversity and celebrate one of Chinatown’s most iconic meals.
