Responding to the vibrant street dance communities of Dancer’s Lane near Haymarket, 4A will host its first dance battle in partnership with Destructive Steps Dance Association. The event is free for spectators and battlers with monetary prizes for winners.

Destructive Steps Dance Association (DSDA) is a non-profit charity organisation dedicated to promoting and spreading the positive ideals of Hip Hop through the Sydney Street Dance Community. DSDA works closely within the community to connect dancers to opportunities they might not have otherwise. Additionally, to create a space for dancers to come together to share their craft, DSDA also organises many community events throughout the year.
4A Centre of Contemporary Asian Arts (4A) is an independent not-for-profit organisation based in Sydney, Australia. Since 1996, 4A has fostered excellence and innovation in contemporary culture through the commissioning, presentation, documentation and research of contemporary art. Our program is presented throughout Australia and Asia, where we ensure that contemporary art plays a central role in understanding and developing the dynamic relationship between Australia and the wider Asian region.
