Vladislav Sludskiy

Prior to his role as an independent art consultant, Vladislav Sludskiy served as a director and curator of Ethan Cohen Gallery in New York, where he organised and co-curated exhibitions featuring Ai Weiwei, Xu Bing, Andy Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Ushio Shinohara, Jon Kessler and others. He has also worked with artists from Central Asia, notably Alexander Ugay, Kyzyl Tractor Art Collective, Almagul Menlibayeva, and Said Atabekov.
A native of Almaty, Kazakhstan, Vladislav runs ARTBAT FEST, an annual international contemporary art festival to serve the Central Asian region. He is the co-founder and curator for the Eurasian Cultural Alliance, which spearheads educational initiatives across the region and fosters cultural exchange between Kazakhstan and the global art community. The Alliance has presented exhibitions at PERMM Museum of Contemporary Art, Russia; the Strasbourg Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMCS), France; Alserkal Avenue, Dubai; the National Museum of Kazakhstan, Astana; and the Kasteyev Museum of Fine Arts, Almaty.
At present, Vladislav serves as an independent consultant assisting clients in a wide range of services. These include commissioning public art pieces, acquiring artworks from galleries and auction houses, collection management, and logistics. Vladislav’s curatorial work and articles have appeared in Brooklyn Rail, Ocula, Huffington Post, Art Asia Pacific, Esquire, Forbes, and Buro 24/7, as well as catalogues and the book Can Art Aid in Resolving Conflicts: 100 perspectives.
