Simrat (Sim) Kaur is a South Asian/Punjabi creative director based in Western Sydney whose current practice centres movement based film. Her work draws on a background in film photography and spoken word poetry to craft warm, hypnotic visual worlds that prioritise women of colour and incorporate spiritual motifs. Working within the intersection of screen & dance, she is interested in offering agency to movement based artists through an intentional, cinematic, & collaborative lens, and is excited to expand this language across new transmedic forms.
