Nguyễn Ngọc Thảo
Nguyễn Ngọc Thảo is a Vietnamese-Australian artist, educator, and researcher based in Naarm. Working across participatory and socially engaged forms, her practice frequently involves food as both material and method - a way of thinking through care, labour, memory, and collective gathering. Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions, and often invites audiences into moments of slowness, exchange, and reflection, foregrounding how language, power, and belonging are produced through everyday rituals.
She is Deputy Lead of the Contemporary Art and Social Transformation (CAST) research group in the School of Art at RMIT University, and a Sessional Academic teaching and lecturing in Art History and Theory. She holds a Bachelor of Fashion Design (Honours) and a Master of Art in Public Spaces from RMIT University, and is currently completing a practice-led PhD.
