Meera Menezes
Meera Menezes is the Delhi correspondent of Art India and a regular contributor to Artforum. She has written extensively on Indian modern and contemporary art for several publications over the past two decades. She is the author of V.S. Gaitonde: Sonata of Solitude (2016), a book on one of India’s foremost abstractionists. She has several curatorial projects to her credit including Here be dragons and other coded landscapes (2017), Imagined Futures, Reconstructed Pasts (2016), Slipping through the cracks (2012) and Living off the grid (2009), and was one of the curators of the United Art Fair, 2013. Menezes has a Masters in German Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, and has worked as a TV journalist and producer at the South Asia Bureau of ARD, Germany’s largest public service broadcaster, for over a decade.
