Born in 1957 in Beijing, China, Guan Wei lives and works between Beijing and Sydney. His distinct artistic style blends Chinese cultural heritage with Western influences, explored across painting, sculpture, and installations. Addressing contemporary issues such as climate change, identity, and migration, his work transcends cultural boundaries. Since migrating to Australia in 1989, Guan Wei has gained international recognition for his multidisciplinary practice spanning over three decades, informed by his personal experiences and socio-political awareness.
