Belqis Youssofzay is an Afghan-Australian architect and co-director of architecture practice Youssofzay + Hart. The practice works across a spectrum of project typologies grounded by concerns of lived experience, accessibility, materiality and a sustainable future. In the last 7 years the practice has built a diverse portfolio of works for some of the most renowned cultural institutions in Australia and globally. Her interest in cultural work is fuelled by a deep love for art, contemporary culture and history and she regularly collaborates with artists, curators and writers. Belqis is also a passionate teacher in architecture and a champion for equality and inclusivity in the profession.
